More than 30 years of VBM
Milestones of our company history

For more than 30 years, VBM has been all about Medical Engineering. Having started out as a small company based in the northern Black Forest, our history is that of a steady and solid growth. From the beginning up until today, we would like to show you the defining milestones of our path to becoming an international family business with innovative, unique products and almost 200 employees.


2015


With the iLTS-D we launch the first laryngeal tube with the option to intubate.

Introduction of the Surgicric in three sets. Our new device for cricothyrotomy.

With completion of the new production and warehouse building we now have over 12,000sqm floor space.

Launch of the Pocket Introducer.

The Introducer with the smallest possible pack size.

Volker Bertram receives the honorary citizenship of Sulz am Neckar.

Introduction of our first microprocessor controlled tourniquet with digital pressure indicator: the Tourniquet 9000.

The Cuff Controller for automatic cuff pressure measuring and adjustment is introduced.

The first VBM sales office in the Czech Republic opens its doors.

Inauguration of the new building in the industrial area “Kastell” in Sulz am Neckar.

Introduction of the Quicktrach. Our first product to secure the airway with a surgical method (cricothyrotomy).
